Multiple Intelligences

The theory of multiple intelligences was developed in 1983 by Dr. Howard Gardner professor of education at Harvard University it suggest that the traditional notion of intelligence, based on IQ testing is far too limited. Instead, Dr. Gardner proposes eight different intelligences to account for a broader range of human potential in children and adults. The intelligences are:

 Linguistic Intelligences (“word smart”)
 Logical – Mathematic Intelligence (“number/reasoning smart”)
 Spatial Intelligence(“picture smart”)
 Bodily – Kinesthetic Intelligence (“body smart”)
 Musical Intelligence (“Music smart”)
 Intrapersonal Intelligence (“Self smart”)
 Interpersonal Intelligence (“people smart”)
 Naturalist Intelligence (“nature smart”)
So, when teachers hear student with Multiple Intelligences they must be change three paradigms about intelligence.

Intelligence is not in a bind achievement test.
Intelligence of someone may not in a bind by indicators which in achievement test because the intelligence, of someone always develop (dynamic), not statistic. The test that the teacher do just only assess the intelligence in that time, not for next month, what else for ten years.

“Source of someone intelligence is their habitual to make new product which have culture value (creativity) and their habitual to solve their problem (problem solving).”

Intelligence is Multidimensional
The intelligence of some one can be seeing from many dimension, not just linguistic intelligence or logic intelligence. The intelligence of someone is process of someone brain work until that people find the last best condition.

Intelligence means process to find capability of some one. This method believe that every people sure have trend of certain kinds intelligence. That trend must be finding by searching intelligence.
